Vilas Mujumdar, P.E., S.E.
Vilas Mujumdar is the Program Director and Cluster leader for 3 Earthquake Engineering Research Centers funded by NSF. He also coordinates integrated multidisciplinary research in earthquake engineering with other divisions of NSF, and Public policy research for other Engineering Research Centers. Previously, he was Chief of Operations with the Division of the State Architect, State of California for 9 years. In this capacity he was responsible for seismic safety of all public schools, community colleges and state buildings. He received many awards for his work and several of his projects are published as feature articles in Engineering News record. He served on and chaired numerous committees of American Society of Civil Engineers, American Concrete Institute, and Structural Engineers Association of California & has authored over 45 papers on various aspects of multi-hazard risks and seismic engineering. He is a Fellow of American Concrete Institute, American Society of Civil Engineers, The Prestressed Concrete Institute, and The Institution of Structural Engineers (UK) Heis listed in Marquis Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Industry and Who’s Who in the World
Dr. Ashok Bhagwat
Dr. Bhagvat has over 20 years of experience in clinical research and has completed several research projects funded by international agencies. He has completed a Ph.D in Organic Chemistry from University of Mumbai, India and is a recipient of Fullbright Fellow Scholarship from University of Washington, Seattle. Dr. Bhagvat currently heads one of the most reputed research centers in India, the C.B. Patel Research Center and has participated in designing and implementation of clinical research program, by training over 12 batches so far.
Praful Raja
Praful Raja holds a Master's Degree in Pharmacy from L.M. College of Pharmacy, India. He is currently the owner of Diagnostics Specialities, Inc. He is Chairperson on the board of directors of JFK Medical Center. He is also the Vice Chariman of Muhlenberg Schools.
